Business Continuity Update – Simplify

In light of the global pandemic Coronavirus / COVID-19 we would like to issue this statement to reassure you of the extensive, prudent lengths we are taking to ensure ‘Business as Usual (BAU)’ is maintained.

In addition to following the ‘Interim Guidance for Businesses by the CDC’, we also recognise and have implemented measures outlined by the ‘World Health Organisation WHO’ in specific relation to the COVID-19 outbreak.  This helps us to better protect our staff, minimise the spread of COVID-19 and goes some way to ensuring BAU is preserved.

Simplify have consistently maintained robust business continuity procedures, having deployed and successfully utilised secure infrastructure in the cloud for several years.  Our broad use of secure cloud-based technology, not only covers our core processing applications but is actively available from four different (50KM+) locations in the UK.  In addition to this we have tested solutions for staff at all levels within the business to be fully operational from their homes (with access to core applications and facilities such as the banking platform) – a successful test of this policy was undertaken on the 10th March, and subsequently users have been working from home.  Furthermore, data availability is protected by live mirrored co-location servers with automated failover technology, thus, positively mitigating downtime.

Current Business Impact: LOW/MEDIUM

There have been ZERO confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus at any Simplify offices (02-04-2020).  We recognise that the threat facing the UK is very real.  Following guidelines and advice from the UK Government, all staff (where feasibly possible) are working from home.  This will protect the interests of our amazing team, our very valued customers and the wider community as a whole.
